SERVICES

FULL BODY WORK SESSION

Head to hoof body work including muscle therapy, myofascial work, identifying trigger points, and working around the horse's meridians, plus BEMER (PEMF) treatment. Bodywork sessions include red light (laser), craniosacral work, and acupressure to ensure your equine is receiving thorough and comprehensive care. This addresses areas of inflammation, stiffness, range of motion, and affords a multitude of subsequent benefits for the horse.

BEMER THERAPY

Bio-electro-magnetic energy regulation (BEMER) is a powerful, form of PEMF therapy, unique from any other. BEMER is a Class 2 FDA cleared medical device that is scientifically proven to stimulate microcirculation resulting in cellular regeneration (healing) and reduced inflammation (immediately). Recommended for all classes of horses. Drug free pain relief!

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE

Works with the fascial tissues through special massage technique to soften or release and rehabilitate areas of the body that hold tension, address muscle fatigue, stress, and sarcopenia.

EQUINE MASSAGE THERAPY

Tense muscles restrict movement in the body. Massage affords a myriad of benefits for the horse including improved circulation, reduced fatigue, reduced stress, reduced inflammation, reduced tension, improved mobility and flexibility, and overall improved performance and health. Massage with a skilled practitioner can address imbalances within your horse's body, correcting certain imbalances in just one session. You can also schedule massage in conjunction with your equine chiropractor as relaxed muscles will help your horse with the adjustment.

SADDLE FIT CONSULTATION

Knowledgeable saddle fitter applying methods taught by expert saddle fitters and saddle makers.

Tools and extra saddles also available to help with saddle fitting.

Will look at saddles you already own as well as have a look at saddles you're considering for purchase, and teach you how to feel and see what is necessary to keep your equine partner's back in tip top condition.

EQUINE THERMOGRAPHY

Infrared Thermal imaging can be a beneficial way to identify problem areas in your horse's body. Through the use of body temperature, we are able to distinguish inflamed areas from "normal" areas which helps with a variety of functions including saddle fitting. MISSION
equine balance & wellness

Certified by the Association of PEMF Professionals

With a background in equine science which began at Colorado State University's pre-veterinary program, and a life-long passion for all things equestrian, Heather's mission is to add value to the horse community through knowledge, support, care, and education. A focal point is ensuring that her services meet the needs of horses and their humans through a practical, affordable, effective approach. To achieve this, Heather uses a variety of tried and true modalities in the realm of "alternative healing" methods that not only make our horses more comfortable, but also improve their overall quality of life.

Northwest Arkansas and central Arkansas are the service regions in which Heather helps horses achieve optimal health and balance -- from head to hoof. From gymkhana to hunter jumper, and every discipline in between, the goal is the same: balance.  Balance the mind, the body, the hooves, the rider, and the horse (an athlete) will perform at his best.

Because balance is so crucial to a horse's overall well being, Heather encourages her clients to view their practitioners as a "whole-horse team", in which veterinarian, farrier, chiropractor, dentist, and body workers all work collaboratively to heal the horse allowing for optimal performance. Heather believes that there are multiple beneficial modalities that can benefit the horse, and that every horse has unique needs.  Further, a balanced rider is just as imperative as a balanced horse, and so Heather encourages riders to work with coaching professionals and health practitioners in order to improve their own skills and balance in the saddle.

Heather's equine services are purposed to leave each horse and rider better off than when she met them. Horse and rider health, happiness, and success are Heather's ultimate mission and goal.
